Kimberly Smith, Brooke Weaver, Lee Helton and Regina McDevitt
Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center announced three new appointments to its advisory board. Each member will help advance the organization’s mission to "provide survivors with pathways to safety and healing by meeting people where they are and providing survivor-centered services that are inclusive, promoting healing, transformation and hope for the future."
The new Dr. Carol B. Berz Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center advisory board chairman is:
- Brooke Weaver, Hamilton County clerk chief deputy and accountant, has served on the advisory board since 2022.
She stepped into this role following the passing of the FJC chairman Councilwoman Dr. Berz, who was instrumental in the development of the Family Justice Center.
The new Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center advisory board members are:
- Lee Helton, District 7 Hamilton County commissioner and local businessman; and
- Kimberly Smith, business manager, Chattanooga Red Wolves.
“We are thrilled to have Lee and Kimberly as board members,” said Regina McDevitt, executive director. “Each new member brings a diverse mix of experience, knowledge and perspective to our advisory board, and we are honored to have their time and talents to ensure our mission is met.”
Officials said, "Under the leadership of Board Chairman Weaver, the Dr. Carol B Berz Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center’s advisory board plays a crucial role. It provides expertise, critical thinking and support for fund development to the executive director of FJC, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the FJC’s 'one-stop campus' model and its partner agencies."
