Former Associate Pastor Of Cleveland 1st Baptist Church Bill Griffith Dies

Rev. Bill Griffith, a longtime emergency services chaplain, former chief deputy of the Bradley Sheriff’s Department, and former associate pastor of Cleveland’s First Baptist, died Sunday morning following a lengthy illness.

Rev. Bill Griffith, at left, posed with fellow members of the committee responsible for building the state’s first Emergency Services Memorial Wall in downtown Cleveland. He was taking part in the 25th anniversary of the wall. Other committee members are Terry Hunt, Ainsley Walls, Marnie Mullins and former Mayor Tom Rowland, chairman.
