Donna Reed Byrd, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 6, 2025.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1943, in Chickamauga, Ga., to the late Charles Reed and Betty Morris Reed, both of whom preceded her in death some years ago.

Donna, a '61 graduate of Chattanooga Central High School, where she was head majorette, voted most talented, much popular and beloved for her friendly kindness, her incredible beauty and winning personality.

She was a successful, much respected and trusted realtor with 39 years of realty services and well-earned production achievement awards. She retired on Jan. 1, 2021, from Crye-Leike Realtors and was a member of the Chattanooga Board of Realtors.

Donna's greatest joy and happiness came from her husband, children and grandchildren, from her love of Jesus Christ and His teachings, and may we not forget, she had much love for, and was frequently amused with the unending playful antics of her sweet, beautiful kitty-cat, 'Joey-Girl'...

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, George Byrd; daughter, Christy Holden Petty; step-sons, Nicky and Ricky Byrd; granddaughters, Reed Petty and Kaelan Byrd; grandsons, Emerson Petty, Blake Byrd, Kolston Byrd, Baron Byrd, Easton Byrd and Liam Byrd.

Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, with Rev. Ken Clark officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time.

A graveside committal service will be Monday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ken Clark officiating.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to In Touch Ministries, at www.intouch.org

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
