The Collegiate Conference of the South released its Men's Golf weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon with Covenant's Ayden Cordell earning Rookie of the Week.
Cordell, a freshman from Rossville, Georgia had a strong showing at the Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate as he finished a career-best 15th place. In the 36-hole tournament he shot rounds of 79 and 80 for a score of 15-over par.
Cordell's performance helped lead Covenant to a season-best second place result out of eight teams.
The Scots return to competition March 17-18 at Willow Creek Golf Club in Knoxville for the Brad Rose Collegiate.
