Christian Business Men’s Connection seeks to guide men at any stage of their career to live out their faith at work and home through fellowship and the practical application of Godly principles. CBMC’s vision is for all men "to experience the power of one God, the value of one man and the leverage of one team."
“No matter what career stage you are in, CBMC connects men who want to experience the power of God working in their lives and businesses with a strong community,” says CBMC Vice President Development, Marketing and Communications Joe Beckler.
“CBMC helps men live out their faith at work and home through fellowship and the practical application of Godly principles. They walk alongside each other, encourage each other and become equipped to face life’s challenges with faith and purpose.”
Officials said, "CBMC Connect3 (C3) Teams offer a community of businessmen who are intentional about growing in their faith and living it out in the work they do each day. These teams provide an environment where men can connect to God, connect to one another and for the cause of bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the workplace. C3 teams allow men to invest, support and pray for one another. These teams have become invaluable in the process of Christian growth among the men involved. C3 teams meet in cities across the country and across the world on a regular (usually weekly) basis."
“Connect3 Teams develop a space for deep fellowship and prayer, while guiding men to discover how to live out Biblical principles both at home and in the workplace. Members grow together in unity and purpose, all while maturing personally. These teams also offer a supportive environment where men can invite coworkers, friends and family who could benefit from the guidance and leadership of Godly men in their lives,” said Mr. Beckler.
To date, 1,000 men across the world have completed CBMC’s Connect3 Leader Training. Represented in this number are members of CBMC International from Liberia, Dhaka and Australia, in addition to men from 45 states in the United States. CBMC has been tracking this number since 2011.
Officials said, "C3 Leader Training equips men to be intentional in cultivating relationships that will help them become the person God designed them to be. CBMC Connect3 Team Leaders are passionate about connecting with God and want to be connected with others who share and cultivate that passion."
“There is great value in doing life alongside others who are also committed to living out the Great Commission on a daily basis. Intentionality is the key and can be experienced more effectively when we have others in our life to encourage us in this process,” said Mr. Beckler.
CBMC coined the phrase “Marketplace Ambassador” to describe the man who seeks to grow in his relationship with Jesus Christ and to share the Gospel in the marketplace. To be an ambassador for Christ is based on 2 Corinthians 5:20, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
“C3 teams aim to prepare and equip Marketplace Ambassadors to live out their calling and make a lasting effect in their spheres of influence for the Gospel. These weekly teams are centered around connection in three key ways, which is why we call them ‘Connect3,’” said Mr. Beckler.
“Connect3 training gave me a whole new perspective about our group. It is my prayerful hope that we can become a real Connect3 team together — praying for the lost, getting better equipped for evangelism and discipleship, and encouraging one another as we serve Christ,” said Sean Moorhead, Connect3 team leader.
“I found the Connect 3 training to be inspiring and informative on CBMC’s vision. It renewed my desire to be part of a marketplace ministry while providing very practical training that equipped me to be a more effective Ambassador for Christ,” said Tony Ciepiel, Connect3 team leader.
