Erlanger Trauma Services announces this year’s annual Trauma Symposium at the Chattanooga Convention Center May 22-23.
Officials said, "For over 15 years, Erlanger’s Level 1 Trauma Center has provided specialty education for trauma professionals throughout the region and across the U.S. During the two-day symposium, healthcare providers will learn about excellence in trauma care and be exposed to hands-on clinical practice, developing the critical skills and knowledge needed to treat trauma patients."
“Erlanger has a tremendous amount of experience putting on the Trauma Symposium after hosting it for 15 years,” said Dr.
Robert Maxwell, medical director of Trauma Services at Erlanger. ”Our program committee is comprised of a panel of local experts that bring forward the most current and important topics in trauma. Additionally, we are one of the first symposia that have developed a skills day which enhances didactic learning and critical thinking with practical experience.”
This year's keynote speakers include Philip Stahel, MD, who will present Disaster Management in the Face of Hurricane Helene, and Victoria Miles, MS, who will discuss the Management of Traumatic Burn Injuries.
"Please join us for this outstanding educational opportunity that imparts excellent academic knowledge and tactile skills in trauma care," officials said.
