Charlotte Ann Carlton, 81, of Ringgold is now at peace. She was called home on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Mrs. Carlton was a lifelong resident of North Georgia. Charlotte was the heart of her family, bringing warmth and joy to everyone she met. She was office manager of the family business, Pro-Fab, for many years. She was also a member of Wallaceville Baptist Church.

Charlotte’s home was always a place of comfort and beauty—a reflection of her love and care. She had a passion for interior design and was renowned around the community for the continual decorating of her home, where family and friends could gather and make cherished memories. She found great joy tending to her flower gardens, filling them with vibrant colors. Most of all, she treasured the time spent with her loved ones, always ready with a warm hug, a kind word, or a home-cooked meal that made everyone feel special.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 49 years, Charles Samuel Carlton; her parents, Hugh and Thelma Swanson; and her siblings, Barbara Jordan, Doug Swanson, and Diane Lawson.

Her love and legacy continue through her surviving family, including her children, Terrie (Jackie) Whitlock, Chris (Allyson) Carlton, and Randy (Julie) Carlton; siblings, Jackie Swanson, Brenda Miles, Debra Grey, Bill Swanson, and Sandra Slaten; grandchildren, Hannah Carlton, Dinah Carlton, Abby Carlton, Aidan Carlton, and step-grandchildren Sam Hulsey, and Daniel Hulsey who all brought immense joy to her life.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home in Rossville. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel, followed by the interment at the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Charlotte’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
