Covenant Tennis Wins 5-0 Over Transylvania On Senior Day

The Covenant men's tennis team had its Senior Day on Tuesday afternoon at Chattanooga Christian's Maclellan Tennis Center, celebrating Masen Howard pregame. In the actual match against Transylvania, the Scots handled their business with a 5-0 win.

Final: Covenant 5, Transylvania 0


In singles, Ben Onufrock got the job done in the No. 1 slot, defeating Jacob Jiranek 6-1, 7-5.
In Caleb Domkowski's final regular-season match of his sophomore campaign, he blanked Alejandro Perez 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 position.
In the No. 3 ranked match, Brock Boehling held firm to win 6-2, 6-4 against Tobias Mandeville.
The No. 4 position match was the closest of the day as Jackson Orsega defeated Luke Earlywine 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7).
Graham Hayes was up 6-4, 3-0 against Jonathan Kepnes in the No. 5 slot before it was abandoned when Covenant clinched the win.
Howard celebrated his Senior Day with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jacob Cooper in the No. 6 ranked match.

All three doubles matches were abandoned due to limited court time at Chattanooga Christian.

Covenant plays in the CCS Semifinals on Friday at 10 a.m. against the winner of Piedmont and Huntingdon.
