Officers Respond To Report Of Shots Fired - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Day Shift April 8: B Squad

25-003707-400 BLK Broughton St- Shots Fired
Officers were dispatched to the area of Navajo and Broughton at the request of CPD due to a shots-fired call in the 400 block of N. Germantown Rd. East Ridge nor CPD located anything.

25-003670-Ringgold Road/Mcbrien Rd-Check Hazard
Police removed a metal pole that was obstructing traffic at the intersection of Mcbrien and Ringgold Road.

25-003671- 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd– Wellness Check
Police were dispatched to this location to conduct a welfare check on a party at the request of a relative who expressed concern regarding her mental well-being.
Upon contact, she engaged with officers and appeared visibly stressed, speaking in a disorganized manner. She declined medical evaluation, stated she was not experiencing suicidal thoughts, and requested to be left alone. Officers found no indication that she posed a danger to herself or others and, as a result, no further action was taken.

25-003672 – 2100 BLK McBrien Rd – Runaway Juvenile
A man called ERPD to report his son refused to go to school. ERPD contacted the Juvenile and transported him to school grounds per the father’s request. The school was notified of the situation and the Hamilton County SRO placed the child into the main office.

Patrol assisted with prisoner transport at East Ridge City Court.

25-003680 – 300 BLK Michelle Dr – Property
Police spoke with a man by phone for the second time in two days regarding a 2012 white Kia Optima registered to him and his ex-wife. He claimed a court order granted him possession of the vehicle but has not provided documentation when requested. He is also unsure whether she had been notified of the order, her current address, or the vehicle’s location. The RP was advised that police can only be present to keep the peace during vehicle retrieval and that he must first locate the vehicle and provide proper legal documentation. Otherwise, he was informed he would need to pursue the matter through the court for contempt.

25-003682 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Found Property
Luggage was found behind soccer field 12 at this address. Police retrieved the luggage but were unable to obtain owner information from it. The luggage was put into property at East Ridge Police Department for safekeeping until someone claims it.

25-003687-80 I-75 Southbound-Check Well Being
Police contacted a male walking Southbound on I-75, He stated that he was trying to get to Georgia but had no means of transportation. The individual was given a courtesy ride to the state line and was advised to cease walking on the Interstate.

Night Shift April 8: D Squad

25-003691 – 1517 Tombras Avenue – Warrant Service
A woman was taken into custody and her bond revoked after violating probation for the charge of Aggravated Assault. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where she is being held without bond until her court date.

25-003698 – 1600 BLK Rugby Place – Suspicious Person
A resident called the police after observing a strange figure lurking around the neighborhood, wearing a black hooded robe with a large protruding crow’s beak. Officers located the suspect and discovered a juvenile female wearing a costume she had prepared for a school project on Europe’s Dark Ages and the Bubonic Plague. It was awesome.

25-003699-300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway-Harassment
A caller reported her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend had been stalking her and harassing her. The caller reported the ex-girlfriend had shown up to her child’s ball game and was watching her. Police checked the area but found none matching the description given. The officer informed the caller this incident did not meet the criteria of stalking. Police could not find enough evidence for harassment charges.

25-003704- 4100 BLK Lazard St-MVC No injuries/DUI Arrest
A caller reported that a Honda Civic had struck his vehicle and fled the scene. The Civic was later located at the above location. Following an investigation, a man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Navajo and Broughton at the request of CPD due to a shots-fired call in the 400 block of N. Germantown Rd. East Ridge nor CPD located anything.
