Madlyn Blankenship Wine, 78, of Harrison, Tennessee, went to join the Lord and her heavenly family on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at her home.

She was a lifelong member of the Pentecostal Church, of which her father was a pastor. Madlyn dedicated her life to her family, raising two generations. She was also devoted to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, always talking to him, and about him, listening to gospel music and singing his praises.

She was born in Argo, Ky., on July 20, 1946, to Ira and Macie Blankenship.

She spent countless hours watching her hummingbirds and feeding the squirrels and wild birds. She enjoyed collecting rooster figurines, decorating her home, and being involved in deep conversations with those she loved.

Madlyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Macie Blankenship; her brothers Ellis, Floyd Lawson (Tobe), and Ira Jr (Ally) Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Helen Blankenship, Virginia (Ginny) Blankenship, Emogene (Jean) Blankenship, Delores Dunn Blackburn, and Lulabell Blankenship. Her cherished father and mother-in-law, Ben and Norma Wine, beloved nephew, Clyde Ray and best friend, Pat Cholota, also went on before her.

Madlyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Fred Wine; her sons Ben (Jennifer) Wine and Josh (Ashley) Wine; grandsons Triston Stuart, Dakota, Xander, Gage, and Manchon Wine; brother Billy (Roxanne) Blankenship. She is also survived by beloved nieces, Beverly D. Leech, Kelly Dyer, Karen Dudasko, Terea Dunn, Robbie Dunn and Chalk Blankenship along with a multitude of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 20, at 11 a.m. in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home in Hixson, with Dale Lawhorn officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, May 19, at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
