Jacquelin Ann McBride Waters, 77, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church, administrative assistant to her husband, Dr. John Waters, who was a vice-president at Tennessee Temple University, and later she became an assistant to the Music Department at McCallie Schools. Jacqueline was a highly accomplished soloist and loved music, but most of all she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Rex and Lena Ann Scrudder McBride. She is survived by her husband of almost 57 years, John Waters; two sons, Lee (Judy) Waters and John (Pam) Waters; and three grandchildren, Corey Waters, Ansley Waters and John Leslie Waters.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 6, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Paul Steven Waters officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the funeral home.
