Ralph John Taylor Bowers, Jr., 73, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed at his home on June 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on Aug. 13, 1951, Junior lived a life marked by his devotion to his family and his faith.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Addie Lavada Bowers and Ralph John Bowers Sr., and his brother, Wayne Bowers.

He leaves behind his wife, Sandi Bowers; his children, Christopher, Sandra, and Rhonda Bowers; his stepchildren, Kim Hood and Matthew Branum; his grandchildren, Madison Colburn, Megan, Johnathan, and Addie Daniels; his great-grandchildren Malachi and Everly Hood; and his sisters Sharon Frizzell and Louetta Shortt; as well as many numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and other family members. His family and friends will forever cherish the warmth of his smile, the strength of his spirit, and the kindness he showed to all.

Junior served his community as a volunteer firefighter in his younger years and later devoted more than four decades to his work at NORPRO in Soddy Daisy.

When he wasn’t working, Junior found joy in the simple pleasures of life like playing the drums, woodworking, front-porch sitting, conversing with friends and family, watching westerns and sipping his strong cup of morning coffee (or coffee whenever available). Above all, Junior was a man of faith. As a member of Daisy Church of Christ, he lived out his beliefs by spreading love to those around him and serving the people in all walks of his life. Junior’s legacy is one of strength, unconditional love, and steadfast faith.

2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, at 11 a.m., at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Preacher Tony Britt officiating. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, at the funeral home.
