Police Respond To Assault - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Day Shift June 25: B Squad

25-006730- 400 BLK Bluebird Circle- Assault in progress/ Arrest
Police were called to the area of 400 Bluebird Circle in reference to an assault in progress.
The caller observed a larger built male pull a female out of a vehicle and strike her. They then observed the male drag her back into the car. Officers found the vehicle on Moreview Road. The driver was identified and denied that anything had happened. Police were able to locate the female victim who stated she was in fact assaulted, and the parties' infant was present in the car during the whole event.
25-006726 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Rd- Theft
Police responded to this location for a shoplifting in progress. Officers detained one female who immediately confessed to the theft and turned around and placed her hands behind her back. She was arrested and transported to Hamilton County Jail for shoplifting charges as well as an active warrant out of Franklin County for violation of a court order.

25-006731-400 BLK Camp Jordon Parkway-Holdup Alarm
Police responded to the ER for a holdup alarm regarding an unruly patient yelling at nursing staff, the individual was gone upon police arrival.

25-006733-3400 BLK Ringgold Road-Disorder with A Weapon
A passerby reported that an individual with a handgun in his waistband was yelling, causing a disorder. Upon further investigation it was found that no disorder had occurred; the male party was just upset that he had left his keys at his residence.

25-006739 – 4214 Ringgold Rd - Warrant Service
CPD contacted a woman at a location on Williams Street in Chattanooga. Upon verifying her information, it was found she had a valid petition to revoke for possession of controlled substance. CPD agreed to transport her to the Hamilton County Jail where she was served with the warrant and booked.

Night Shift June 25: D Squad

25-006740 – 4100 BLK East Stump Street – Child Found
An observer reported seeing a young child riding her bicycle during heavy traffic near Greens Lake Road. The child’s mother discovered the child had absconded and brought her home moments after police were dispatched.

25-006743 – 4100 BLK S Terrace – Mentally Disturbed
A mental health consumer requested a CIT officer for an anxiety attack he was experiencing. After speaking with police, the patient declined further medical intervention.

25-006748 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Vehicle
After observing two occupants sitting in their back seat parked in the “old” Food City parking lot, police performed a brief wellness check.

25-006746 – 1400 BLK North Mack Smith Road – Unconscious Person
Police responded to this location for a male subject unconscious in a vehicle. Officers found he was only sleeping.
