Angel Luis Caban, Sr., 82, of Ooltewah passed away Monday, June 2, 2025.

Born in Moca, Puerto Rico, Mr. Caban spent over 53 years in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Ooltewah seven months ago.

He retired from HIP Medical Co. after more than 40 years of service and was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nasario and Rufina Caban; sisters, Iris Garcia, Sonia Caban; and brother, Julio Caban.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ana Caban; two sons, Angel (Stephanie) Caban, Jr., Ooltewah and Jeffrey (Corlise) Caban, New Jersey; four sisters, Mariaestel Caban, Mary Luz Caban, Candita Caban, Judith Pena; four brothers, Ramon Caban, Jose Caban, Roberto Caban, and German Caban; four grandchildren, Noah, Lucas, Matthew and Emily Caban; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with Father Manuel Perez officiating. Burial will follow at the Collegedale Memorial Park with Angel Caban, Jeffrey Caban, Dennis Fernandez, and Jose Cordero serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 9, from 9:30-11 a.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 7111 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
