Darlene “Penny” Reilly Regnas
Darlene “Penny” Reilly Regnas, 87, passed away at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Penny was born on March 21, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Hardy Reilly (2005) and Robert Regnas (2014).
Penny leaves behind two children: Cheri Reilly Jenkins (Don) and Jim (Jimbo) Reilly (Kelly), six wonderful grandchildren: Jeremy Reilly (deceased), Samantha Reilly (Ryan Baucom),Kaitlin Bradley (Jacob), Maggie Williams (Thomas), Sara Neal (Garrett), Hillary Hill (Casey),and nine great- grandchildren: Hallie, Macie and Tripp Williams, Henry and Elliott Neal, Isabella Reilly, Sadie and Lily Davis, and Amelia Hill.
After many years living in the Air Force stationed in Germany, France and several U.S. cities with her late husband Jim, Penny worked for and retired from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chattanooga.
Penny will be deeply missed and remembered for her love and generosity.
A graveside service for Penny will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343 with Rev. Cliff Hudson officiating. All family members and friends are welcome to attend.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153 Hixson.
