Home Canning And Freezing Classes Offered In July

UT Extension is offering food preservation classes in July. Participants will learn safe, reliable preservation methods as well as the correct equipment to use for both low and high acid foods. Classes are great for beginners or a refresher course for experienced preservers. Classes will be held at the Extension office at 6183 Adamson Circle in Chattanooga. Early registration is encouraged. Lookouts Take Series From Smokies With 3-2 Win

The Chattanooga Lookouts pulled off another extra inning win to secure the series victory over the Knoxville Smokies on Sunday afternoon taking the final game 3-2. Dominic Pitelli scored on an Edwin Arroyo sacrifice fly in the tenth for the decisive run. Trevor Kuncl picked up the victory on the mound and now has an incredible 1.02 earned run average on the season.
