Home Canning And Freezing Classes Offered In July

UT Extension is offering food preservation classes in July. Participants will learn safe, reliable preservation methods as well as the correct equipment to use for both low and high acid foods. Classes are great for beginners or a refresher course for experienced preservers. Classes will be held at the Extension office at 6183 Adamson Circle in Chattanooga. Early registration is encouraged. Lookouts Winning Streak Snapped

The Chattanooga Lookouts three game winning streak was snapped on Thursday evening, falling in extra innings 6 to 5 to the Biloxi Shuckers. It was the fifth one run game in a row for the Lookouts with them winning the past three prior to Thursday. The Lookouts took a first inning lead on a bases loaded walk and an rbi groundout to go up 2-0. Biloxi retook the lead with runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
