As you may recall, our Hamilton County Mayor, without input from our elected Hamilton County Commissioners, sold our Hamilton County Health Department’s facilities and the prime real estate it sat upon, to Erlanger for the paltry sum of $10 million. What a deal. No wonder Erlanger could afford to pay $2.5 million per year for the naming rights for the Chattanooga Lookouts’ Erlanger Field. Lookouts Fall To Barons In Another Pitching Duel

For the third night in a row the Chattanooga Lookouts and Birmingham Barons found themselves in a low scoring pitching duel. On Thursday night the game was scoreless into the eighth inning after Lookouts starter Jared Lyons and reliever Joel Valdez scattered a combined four hits with no runs. Not to be out done, Birmingham starter Shane Murphy went seven scoreless himself before allowing a run in the eighth.
