Humane Educational Society wrapped up their first week of surgeries following the soft opening of their new low-cost spay/neuter clinic to the public. By providing affordable spay and neuter options, HES hopes to decrease the number of unwanted litters, as well as decrease the number of animals that require sheltering and the number of strays in the community. Someone doing something right rarely gets noted these days on social media or anywhere. I would like to recognize a local business which is doing something right, the new Jack’s Restaurant at 315 North Main Street, La Fayette, Ga. Yes, right on the main drag in town; just opened in late June. What are they doing right?
