Chattanooga fell 1-0 on the road Sunday night in a non-conference women’s soccer match at Alabama. The Mocs even out their record at 1-1 while the Tide improves to 2-0. An aggressive play on the ball led to the lone score of the game in the eighth minute. It’s always nice to watch two good volleyball teams square off on the opening day of the season and that was the case at Baylor Monday afternoon. The CSAS Lady Patriots were the opponent. Even though they didn’t win, they showed what they are capable of and proved that they’re qualified to play with anyone. Both of these teams took part in the state tournament last fall, but Baylor ended up with the upper hand in this first match as they prevailed by scores of 25-17, 26-24 and 25-7. ... more
