Chambliss Elects 3 New Shareholders

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. announced the election of attorneys Shelton Swafford Chambers, CPA, Stephany Pedigo, and Logan Threadgill as shareholders of the firm.

"Following a year of excitement and growth, we're thrilled to continue this momentum with the addition of three new shareholders," said President and Managing Shareholder Mark Cunningham. "Each of these lawyers has shown a steadfast commitment to our community and our clients. They are stellar professionals who strengthen the firm as we move into the new year and beyond."

As a member of the firm's estate planning section and a certified public account, Ms. Chambers works with high net worth clients and family-owned businesses on estate and tax-related matters, including dynasty trusts, charitable trusts, family governance structures, and succession planning. She also helps families navigate multigenerational wealth preservation strategies, provides general consulting for closely held business owners, and provides counseling on trust planning and administration, gifting techniques, and charitable planning.

Ms. Chambers is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga and the Southeast Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women. She serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, is a member of the Chattanooga, Tennessee and American Bar Associations, the Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute, and Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, and is a Florence Level member of the Women's Fund of Greater Chattanooga's Nightingale Network. In addition, she was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America 2024 list. Chambers graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee (UT) and UT’s College of Law.

With over 25 years of experience in the legal industry, Ms. Pedigo is a member of the firm's estate planning section and assists clients with various estate planning and administration matters. Her work includes drafting wills, trusts, and incapacity documents, as well as representing and advising clients in their roles as executor, personal representative, and trustee. Ms. Pedigo provides tailored solutions for her clients as they plan for their family's future and assists in stewarding the fulfillment of those plans. Her experience extends to representing clients in litigation, mediations, serving as the guardian ad litem in adoption and conservatorship matters, juvenile proceedings, and representing individuals in judicial commitment hearings. She is a member of the Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations. She graduated cum laude from UT and magna cum laude from Samford University Cumberland School of Law. She is licensed in Tennessee and Georgia.

Mr. Threadgill represents clients in a wide range of business litigation matters in state and federal courts. He also frequently represents clients in arbitrations and mediations for various construction-related matters, including cases involving defective design and construction claims, warranty claims, payment disputes, and breach of contract claims. Additionally, he advises clients in the financial services industry and represents local, regional, and national banks and credit unions with contract claims, loan disputes, and bankruptcy matters, including adversary proceedings.

Mr. Threadgill is the president of the Chattanooga Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, serves on the board of the Tennessee Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Inns of Court, Brock-Cooper Chapter, the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, and Associated General Contractors East Tennessee. In addition, Threadgill was named in the 2024 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America list and the 2023 Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Starslist. He is a graduate of the Chattanooga Chamber Foundation's Leadership Chattanooga program. Mr. Threadgill received undergraduate degrees from Wofford College and graduated cum laude from UT’s College of Law.
