Clyde Leland Carmack, 90, of Soddy-Daisy, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at his residence.
Mr. Carmack was a Marine veteran of World War II, and he retired from Combustion Engineering after more than 30 years of service.
He was also a lifelong farmer in the Soddy-Daisy area. His brother, Bill Carmack, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Nina Varner Carmack; three stepsons, Glenn Fitzgerald, Archie Fitzgerald and Jerry Fitzgerald, all of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Charlie Carmack, Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Anna Belle Adams, Bakewell, and Sarah Margaret Franc, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Debbie West, Soddy-Daisy, Wayne Fitzgerald, Soddy-Daisy, Diane Vandergriff, Chattanooga, Chris Fitzgerald, Soddy-Daisy, and Leah Johnson, Hixson; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday graveside at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Runyan officiating.
Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. today, Tuesday.
