Noah Walter Wright, 80, of Hixson, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at his residence.
He was an active member of Middle Cross Baptist Church.
Mr. Wright was a U.S. Army veteran, having volunteered to serve as a paratrooper and later became a sniper hunter while serving in Italy, Africa and Europe. He served with Ralph Nader, who taught him how to drive a tanker vehicle, during World War II.
He was the son of the late Lina Mullins Wright and J. Cleveland Wright. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Frank, Estes, Carmel and Charlie, and his wife of 50 years, Wanda Louise Wright.
He is survived by his sons, Mickey, Randy, Terry and Ron Wright; daughters, Debbie Bolton and Brooke Evans; sisters, Inis, Nora and June; brother, Allen Wright; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel with the Rev. Gary Shirley officiating.
Interment will be in Brayton’s Cemetery, Graysville, TN.
