Pervie C. "Suitcase" Simpson, Jr., 76, of Hixson, died on Monday, April 25, 2005, in a local hospital.
He was of the Church of God faith, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a longtime member of Iron Workers LU 704, and retired from American Bridge Company.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Allison Simpson; son, David (Sheila) Simpson; daughter, Nancy (Allan) Holland; stepsons, Ken Allison and Chuck (Lisa) Sartain; grandchildren, Chuck Simpson, Charla Beth Simpson, Amanda Paige Allison, Chris Allison, Kaila Sartain, Tori Sartain and Paiton Sartain; nieces, Paula Williams, and Suzanne Thomason; nephew, Jerry Williams; aunt, Faye Swafford; and a host of friends.
Services will be on Thursday, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating.
Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be George Blevins, Chuck Sartain, Ken Allison, Chuck Simpson, Rick Richard, Jeff Richard, Jerry Williams (Alt), and Chris Allison (Alt).
Honorary pallbearers are Lisa Sartain, Wilma Arnold, Charla Beth Simpson, Mandy Allison, Sheila Simpson and Paula Williams.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.
