Lee University Saxophone Ensemble Has First Concert

  • Thursday, April 7, 2005

The Lee University Saxophone Ensemble will present its first-ever concert on Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in the Squires Recital Hall on Lee’s campus.

Comprised of students from Dr. Brenda Moye and Mr. Alan Wyatt’s studios, the Lee University Saxophone Ensemble is a brand new ensemble this year. In addition to the saxophone ensemble, there are also two smaller quartets directed by Dr. Moye and Mr. Wyatt.

Tuesday’s concert will feature the two saxophone quartets and the large saxophone ensemble, as well as the saxophone section from the Lee University Jazz Ensemble.

Lee University’s saxophone program is experiencing much growth, and this concert marks the beginning of many more saxophone events on the campus.

Tuesday’s concert is open to the public and free of charge. The Squires Recital Hall is located in the south end of the new Humanities Center at Lee. For more information, please contact the School of Music at 614-8240.
