Chattanooga Public Works Department Announces Summer Youth Employment Program

The Chattanooga Public Works Department announces its Summer Youth Work Program, offering high school students and recent graduates aged 16 and older an opportunity to gain work experience, contribute to their community and earn a competitive wage. The program is set to run from June to July.

This initiative provides participants with hands-on experience across various divisions within the Public Works Department, allowing them to explore different career paths while making a tangible impact on Chattanooga's infrastructure and services.
Participants will earn $15.45 per hour.

"The Summer Youth Work Program is an ideal opportunity for young individuals looking to make the most of their summer by engaging in meaningful work and developing professional skills," officials said. "It's a chance to see firsthand how the Public Works Department keeps our city running smoothly."

Interested high school students and recent graduates (ages 16+) are encouraged to apply immediately. The application deadline this coming Sunday. Space is limited, so apply immediately.
