Blood Assurance is pleased to announce this year’s winner of the 185 Sea Ray Sport Boat is Tami Bell of Apison, Tennessee. Tami stands in front of her new boat along with her husband Barry, daughter Brooklynn, and son Brandon.

Blood Assurance, the regional blood center, drew the winner of the 185 Sea Ray Sport Boat Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Chattanooga Boat Show. All visitors to any Blood Assurance location or blood drive between Jan. 9 and Feb. 4 were eligible to sign up to win the Sea Ray Boat.

This year’s winner is Tami Bell of Apison, Tenn. Ms. Bell works at Blue Planet with McKee Foods and has been their blood drive representative for over two years now.

Ms. Bell, a Florida native, has always dreamed of having her own boat since she was a little girl. To see her boat for the first time, Ms. Bell brought her husband Barry, her 11 year old daughter Brooklynn, her 7 year old son Brandon, her parents, and a couple of her life-long girl friends. They all seemed very excited for Tami and are looking forward to going out on the water this summer together.

When Ms. Bell was presented with the boat she said, “Thank you so much! I’m so excited! I still can’t believe it!” She continued saying, “I am overwhelmed with gratitude!”

Most importantly, Blood Assurance wants to thank everyone that came out during this time to donate their blood. There were 7,640 units of blood donated during the Boat promotion. Each unit of blood can save up to four people’s lives.

Blood Assurance’s current promotion runs Feb. 6 through Feb. 25. All visitors to any Blood Assurance location or bloodmobile can register to win a Lowe’s gift card and all donors will receive a free T-shirt. Twelve winners will receive a $100 gift card to Lowe’s, one for each center and one for the bloodmobiles. Blood Assurance will draw the winners of the Lowe’s gift cards Monday, Feb. 27.

Blood Assurance serves over 36 hospitals in 31 counties across parts of Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and Georgia, including your area hospitals. Over 375 volunteer blood donors are needed everyday in order to supply area hospitals with the life-saving blood products for their patients.
