Rosemary Elizabeth Coleman, 85, Rossville, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, in a local hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and North Georgia and was a member of the Brainerd Church of Christ. Mrs. Coleman volunteered at the Red Cross Auxiliary and was a Hutcheson volunteer for 36 years. She was a devoted wife and mother supporting her husband’s ministry for 60 years.
Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Molly Swope Henegar, daughter, Patricia Sentell, and son, Hillard Coleman Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Hillard Coleman; daughters, Sandra (Joe) Little, Rossville, Linda (Frank) Parker, Chattanooga; sister, Caroline Smith, Rossville; grandchildren, Michael Sentell, Jane Armstrong, John Sentell, DeWayne Parker, Amy Nutt, Deana Johnson, Rob Foster, Jodi Gilreath, and Jennifer Lacy; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with John Pirtle officiating. A eulogy celebrating their grandmother’s life will be provided by Mike Sentell, Amy Nutt and Tyler Gilreath. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Honorary pallbearers will be volunteers of Hutcheson Auxiliary.
