Jullian Löwen Thomas, 33, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Born on March 4, 1992, in Chattanooga, Jullian brought light, laughter, and love into the world from the very beginning. His presence was a gift to all who knew him—fiercely loyal, deeply kind, and unmistakably unique.

A 2010 graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Jullian was a proud and active member of the football and track teams. He also enjoyed basketball and was known for his determination, teamwork, and strong athletic spirit. But it was during his senior year that he gave one of his most defining and unforgettable gifts, his Chapel Talk. Standing before his classmates, faculty, and the McCallie brotherhood, Jullian spoke with courage, grace, and depth. He shared pieces of his heart—his thoughts, his truth, his journey—with a quiet strength that moved many. That day, he was confident, reflective, and full of purpose. To this day, his mother holds that moment close, a shining testament to the brilliance and authenticity that defined her son.

Beyond the field and the chapel, Jullian had a powerful gift with words. He loved writing poetry, and his talent earned him the rare distinction of having two original poems published in The Argonaut, McCallie’s literary journal—an extraordinary achievement few students attain even once.

Jullian was also known for his exceptional manners and respectful spirit. Whether he was speaking with elders, teachers, or friends, he carried himself with grace and humility. His “yes, ma’ams” and “no, sirs” weren’t just polite gestures—they were a reflection of how he was raised and the deep respect he held for others. He treated people with kindness and dignity, always listening intently and speaking with sincerity. His presence brought calm, and his respectful nature left lasting impressions wherever he went.

Those who knew Jullian knew his strength, creativity, and compassionate soul. He was a source of comfort, joy, and steady support to his family and friends. His smile could ease a heavy heart, and his laugh was contagious. He loved deeply, stood firm in his beliefs, and left an indelible mark on every life he touched. Jullian’s passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to shine in the lives of those who loved him. He will be remembered for the love he gave, the stories he shared, the character he carried, and the beautiful soul he possessed.

In spite of the darkness Jullian faced, he carried within him one of the brightest hearts. His smile could light up a room, and his compassion ran deep. Even as a teenager, he thought of others—in a selfless act of generosity, Jullian registered to be an organ donor when he received his driver’s license. That decision became a powerful final gift. Upon his passing, all of Jullian’s organs were used to give life, healing, and renewed hope to others. His story, while marked by pain, ends with purpose—and lives on through those he saved.

He was preceded in death by his father, the late John Richard Paris Jr.; grandmother Pearlie Thomas; grandfathers Arthur Suttles Jr. and John Paris Sr.; uncles George and Christopher Thomas; aunts Connie and Emma Jean Thomas; great-grandmother Juanita Haywood; great-grandparents Arthur and Katie Mae Suttles Sr.; and V.J. and Virginia Jackson.

Jullian was the cherished son of Artnita Paris and Robert (Valerie) Thomas. He was a beloved brother to Alyssa Paris of San Francisco, CA; Latoya Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; Robnesha (Shawn) Thomas; and Camesha (Christoffer) Collins, also of Chattanooga, TN. He leaves behind three loving grandmothers: Joyce Flint, affectionately known to him as “AJ,” who was his steady rock and constant support through every chapter of his life—present for every milestone, every struggle, and every joy; Florene Paris and Vickie Suttles, who also poured love and pride into the young man he became. Their collective presence and prayers covered him in strength, but it was “AJ” who stood closest in the day-to-day, holding his hand and his heart through it all.

Jullian was also surrounded by a devoted extended family. Among them, Uncle Bruce (LaCrecia) Suttles and Aunt Valerie (Jovonda) Baker held especially close relationships with him. Uncle Bruce offered wisdom, strength, and a quiet presence that Jullian deeply respected. Aunt Valerie was a guiding light, always cheering him on, showing up, and speaking life into him at every stage. He also shared bonds with Uncle Alvin (Cynthia) Thomas and Aunt Kimberly Strawter, who loved him dearly and stood by the family with open hearts. From his father’s side, Jullian was also dearly loved by his aunts Dana Caldwell, Kimberly (Chat) Sterling, and Ju’Wana (Corey) Reese, who each held a special place in his life and memories.

Jullian was additionally blessed with the love of his devoted godparents, Deondria and Robert Jordan, whose unwavering support and nurturing care were present throughout his life.

Jullian leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, and countless friends and extended family who will forever hold his memory close. His spirit lives on through the lives he touched, the love he gave, and the legacy he leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

A celebration of Julian's remarkable life will take place on Saturday, May 31, at 12 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., Chattanooga, 423 622-9995.
