Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group will open seven new locations in 2007. The addition of seven restaurants would bring the total number of units operated by the company to 36. Planned markets for expansion in 2007 include Las Vegas, Chicago, Phoenix, Kansas City and Maryland.
Six locations are planned for Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants, the flagship brand for the company. The first Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant opened in October of 1988 in Palo Alto, Ca. Since then, the chain has expanded coast to coast and across the Pacific to Honolulu, Hi.
Additionally, one Bluewater Grille is planned for opening in late 2007 or early 2008. The first Bluewater Grille opened in Summer of 2006 as an extension of the company’s seafood oriented concepts in Jacksonville, Fl. Featuring seafood delivered fresh from Florida, Bluewater Grille offers a diverse menu and extensive wine list.

The addition of six Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants in 2007 will bring the company’s flagship brand to 25 restaurants. In addition to the Gordon Biersch brand, the company operates a variety of brewery restaurant concepts including Big River Grille and Brewing Works, Seven Bridges Grille and Brewery, A1A Ale Works and Ragtime Tavern Seafood and Grill. The company opened four restaurants in 2006 including two Gordon Biersch units (Virginia Beach, Va. and Glendale, Az.), one Big River Grille and Brewing Works (second location in Chattanooga) and one Bluewater Grille (Chattanooga).
