Latricia Thomas Named New Anchor Of FOX61 First At Ten

Tracye McCarthy, general manager of WDSI FOX61, a division of New Age Media of Tennessee, LLC, in Chattanooga, announced Latricia Thomas as the new weeknight anchor of FOX61 First at Ten.

Ms. Thomas was previously a reporter for WTEN in Albany, NY. She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, and began her career at WWAY in Wilmington, N.C.

Regarding her recent role in becoming the new anchor, Ms. Thomas said, "I am so excited to be able to return to East Tennessee and be a part of FOX61. This opportunity is more like a homecoming to me and I can only hope to continue the great reputation that Scottie and the rest of the team have worked so hard to establish in the Tennessee Valley."

General Manager Tracye McCarthy said, “The FOX61 team is very pleased to have Latricia as our new anchor. Her dedication to local news will help continue the success of FOX61 First at Ten.”

The departure of anchor Scottie Goodman was announced last week. Ms. Goodman remains on the newscast until Wednesday, Oct. 8, when she will introduce Latricia Thomas.
