Gregor Scott McGregor, 57, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, April 3, 2008, peacefully at home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debi Hopper McGregor, and his beloved daughter, Keely Rebecca McGregor, who will miss his sweet smile and shining light in this world. He gave tirelessly of himself to both family and friends.

Gregor graduated from Notre Dame High School, class of ’69, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a building contractor and master craftsman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence A. McGregor.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca McGregor of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga.; sister, Lucy (Pete) Robinson and brother, Alex (Leslie) McGregor of Chattanooga; sister, Sarah (Jeff) Streiff of Atlanta; stepson, Gregg Shipp of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many, many friends.

A memorial celebration of his life will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church on Ashland Terrace at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O. 19269, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
