Willie Mae Burrows, 97, of Hixson, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, in a local hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cub Burrows; and her sons Gene, Rupert and C.L. Burrows.

She is survived by her daughters, Lee Powell of Soddy Daisy, Pat Roos of Hixson and Sarah Denker of Dickson, Tn.; sons, Rayburn and Steve Burrows both of Hixson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home chapel with her grandson Brian Roos officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park with her grandsons R.D. Burrows, Rubert Burrows, Darren Meeks and Joe Kieth along with Barry York and Paul Powell serving as pallbearers.
