Bonnie Goan Thornton, 84, died on June 26, 2008 in Nashville, Tn.
Bonnie resided in New Orleans for 30 years as Interior Decorator for Halperns Fabrics. She retired from Chattanooga Police Department, Records Department. She was born in Chattanooga in 1923 to the late Bessie and Frank Goan.
Her sister, Nellie Wolfe; brothers, Orville L. and John F. Goan, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Linn Kirby, Scottsdale, Az.; son, Jack A. Smith, Canton, Ga.; sisters, Grace Fite and Joy Goan, Chattanooga; brother, William R. Goan, Winchester; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Smith, Brian and Scott Kirby.
Interment will be in Winchester, Tn. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
