Vallie Jeanette Farmer, 96, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009.

She was born in Hamilton County to the late Columbus Harvey and Mary K. Parton Suit on Nov. 11, 1913. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chattanooga Valley and a former employee of General Motors.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Melvin Farmer; sisters, Blanch Ellis and Anna Mae Bracket; brother, Clarence William Suit.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Billy Blevins and President Michael Griffin officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service.

Interment will follow in Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
