A former Brainerd High teacher who got a job teaching in Nashville after picking up rape charges in Chattanooga is facing new child sex charges in Nashville.
The Chattanooga rape charges against Ronald Boykin, 40, were discovered last week after a routine traffic stop.
He was brought to Chattanooga to face that charge, then new charges were filed against him for alleged actions while he was teaching at Donelson Middle School.
Boykin was charged with three counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and two counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, police in Nashville said Saturday.
He was taken into custody at his apartment in South Nashville apartment hours after he made bond in Chattanooga.
Police in Nashville had been investigating reports that he molested two boys, who are now 14 and 15, over a period of around 18 months.
