David Andrew Harris, 52, died on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009.

He was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church. He was employed by Synthetic Industries for over 20 years. David loved his music and played every year at Down Home Days with the Southern Heritage Band and a member of Crawfish Springs Masonic Lodge 4300.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elisie Harris.

Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie Harris and Amy Harris, of Chickamauga; son, Benjamin Harris, of Chickamauga; mother of his children, Regina Harris; sisters, Barbara Thompson, of Rockledge, Fl., and Marsha Post, of Melbourne Beach, Fl.; granddaughter, Layla; and two nieces.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, at Chickamauga City Cemetery with Rev. Rick Maeser officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Chickamauga Chapel.
