Bald Headed Bistro Celebrates 5 Years Of Cuisine With 5-Course Feast

  • Monday, September 14, 2009

The Bald Headed Bistro began five years ago "offering an elegant menu that infused the flavors and style of Jackson Hole, Wyoming into a charming Southern setting." The Cleveland, Tn., restaurant will celebrate its anniversary this month by offering a five-course meal "that highlights the robust and unique flavors that have made the Bistro a success."

This five-course feast is being offered for $30 and includes succulent dishes ranging from Wasabi Sesame Ahi Tuna to Coconut Curried Pumpkin Soup with Duck Confit and Surf and Turf Oscar. The menu features several options for patrons to fully appreciate the Bistro’s broad bill of fare. The full menu is available online at www.baldheadedbistro.com or by calling the restaurant’s reservation line at 423 472-6000.

The Bald Headed Bistro is the inspiration of executive and entrepreneur Allan Jones of Cleveland. During his travels, he had occasion to visit the beautiful Crescent H Ranch in Jackson Hole. Captivated by the beauty of the area and the fine dining he discovered, Mr. Jones purchased the ranch in 2000. He now has a second home in Jackson Hole.

The Bald Headed Bistro was borne from Mr. Jones’ passion for the West and his love of the South. Its name was derived from his trademark coiffure.

Officials said, "Only the best ingredients, including prime meats hand-cut by the Bistro staff and fresh fish flown directly from locations including Hawaii, are served at the restaurant."

Menu staples include Bone-In Filet, Ribeyes, Wood Roasted Real Prime Rib and seafood fare including grouper, salmon and sea bass. A wood-fired oven and rotisserie fueled by hickory wood are used to give the Bistro’s filets, tenderloin, prime rib and pizzas "a one-of-a-kind flavor."

Officials said the unique décor of the Bald Headed Bistro is inspired by the Wyoming countryside, from the 283 logs salvaged from the Crescent H Ranch following the Green Knolls forest fire in 2000 that now make up the interior and exterior of the restaurant to the furniture elegantly sculpted by Rocky Mountain artisans.

“Coming to the Bald Headed Bistro is a dining experience unlike any other,” said Bistro General Manager Josh Weekley. “We take pride in our guests enjoying a full-range of senses, from the unique western ambiance of the Bistro to the elegant dishes carefully crafted by our executive chef and staff. It has been a pleasure serving the Cleveland area for five years and we are excited about many more years of fine-dining at the Bald Headed Bistro.”

The Bald Headed Bistro is located at 201 Keith Street in the Village Green Town Center.
