Dupre Logistics Wins American Trucking Association Award

  • Thursday, September 30, 2010

Dupré Logistics announced it has been recognized as one of the three American Trucking Associations (ATA) President’s Trophy Award Winners for 2010. The ATA President’s Trophy, the highest safety award given to motor carriers in the United States, is presented annually to only three motor carriers each year, one in each of three categories: Under 25 Million Miles, 25-100 Million Miles, and Over 100 Million Miles. Dupré won the President’s Trophy Award for the 25-100 Million Mile category.

Dupré received the award based on its safety record, programs and community outreach activities. The award is judged by top motor carrier safety professionals as well as commercial vehicle enforcement personnel.

“It is truly an honor to receive this prestigious award,” said Dupré’s Chief Executive Officer Reggie Dupré.

“This recognition means a lot to our team. Their dedication to our safety, our programs and being valuable members of the communities in which we work are part of everything we do here at Dupré daily,” said Tom Voelkel, Dupré president and chief operating officer.

The ATA President’s Trophy was formally presented at the ATA Safety Management Council’s Safety & Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition in Rogers, Arkansas.

The American Trucking Associations is the largest national trade association for the trucking industry. Through a federation of other trucking groups, industry-related conferences, and its 50 affiliated state trucking associations, ATA represents more than 37,000 members covering every type of motor carrier in the United States.
