John Michael Fandrey, 65, of Cleveland, Tn., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 at a Chattanooga Hospital.
He attended Pine Hill Church of God, where he was involved in many activities. He had a deep appreciation of antique cars. Mr. Fandrey was retired from Mohawk Carpet Mill in Chatsworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustus and Anna Fandrey; brother, Bill Fandrey; and daughter, Natasha Marie Fandrey.
He is survived by his wife, Bea Fandrey of Cleveland; three children, Beverly Haney and husband David, of Cleveland, Brian Fandrey of Cleveland and Kevin Fandrey and wife Anna of Riverside, Cal.; two grandchildren, Charisa Haney of Cleveland and Catherine Fandrey of Riverside; sister, Helen Klisch of Huntley, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gary and Lucy Smith and Lonnie and Jessie Barker all of McDonald.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Pastor David Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
His family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, and from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
