Leona Falker, 81, of Rossville, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at a local hospital.
She was a native of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation in Basom, N.Y., and had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area for over 25 years. Her passions in life were her family, traveling, and attending Native American Powwows.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Johnson of Rossville; brother, Burnett Black of Tucson, Az.; two sisters, Esther Sundown of Basom, N.Y., and Jean Stanley of Trenton, Oh.; adopted sister, Montina Jonathan of Basom, N.Y.; adopted brothers, Kyle Dowdy of Allegheny Indian Reservation and Edward Sherrill son of Daniel and Theresa Tramper, all of Cherokee, N.C.; four grandchildren, Julann Johnson, Jeff (Melissa) Johnson, Kevin Johnson, and Wendy (Jacob) Fawcett; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at a later date in Basom, N.Y., on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation.
The family will have a gathering of friends on Wednesday, April 11, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
