Police Blotter: Woman Says Please; Thief Gives Purse Back

A woman told police she left her purse in her vehicle while taking her dogs inside Petco on Commons Boulevard.

When she got back outside, she saw a man with her purse near her 2005 Jeep Liberty.

Reality Williams yelled at him to please give her purse back. He obliged, throwing it out the window of his vehicle.

She said nothing seemed to be missing.

But she will have to pay $400 to get her smashed window replaced.

At Chattanooga Fire and Protection on Broad Street, someone "tagged" two areas of the two-story building.

One said XERM and another was "unreadable jargon."

The manager said those carrying out the vandalism somehow got access to the roof.

He will cleanup will cost about $250.

Delphine Curtis said her boyfriend, Ralph Ramsey, came to her house armed with a knife and attacked her.

She said he cut her clothing, slapped and pushed her, and broke some of her furniture.

She said he then dragged her outside and pushed her face in the mud.

Police said they saw broken furniture and said the victim's shirt was torn and her face was caked with mud.

Warrants were taken against Ramsey for aggravated assault and vandalism.

Krystal officials said a female shift manager stole $1,140 cash at the end of her shift.

The incident is caught on video, it was stated.

A warrant for theft over $1,000 was taken against the shift manager.

James Shirley said someone stole his wife's purse out of his vehicle while he was at Texas Roadhouse on Amin Road.

A passenger window was broken to get inside.

One of the items taken was his Ambien.

Betty Collins said someone got into her car while it was parked at her home on Kirby Avenue.

She is missing two orange beach towels she bought for gifts as well as a necklace and earring set her cousin had given her.

Bessie Anderson said she left her purse in her unlocked car for just "a split second" at her home on Aubrey Avenue.

That was enough opportunity for a thief who got $60 cash, a pack of cigarettes and other items.
