Jeffrey James Brown, 57, of Apison, Tennessee, beloved husband and best friend of Joy Brown for 31 years, died unexpectedly while on a mission trip in Panama with his church. 
 
Jeff had a heart for serving others which was reflected throughout his life in the many pastoral and educational positions he held in the Seventh-day Adventist church. He was currently serving as the pastor of the Apison Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he had been since 2010. 
 
Jeff is survived by his wife, Joy Brown, his two children, Beth Lasley and Zach Brown, his mother, Bette Brown, and his siblings, Mike Brown and BJ Brown.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 27, at 4 p.m. at the Apison Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11421 Bates Rd., Apison, TN 37302.  Overflow will be directed to the Lester Coon Adventist School gymnasium.  Visitation with family and refreshments will be immediately following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Jeff Brown Memorial Mission Fund or the Jeff Brown Worthy Student Fund at Lester Coon Adventist School. Please make checks payable to Apison Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11421 Bates Road, Apison TN 37302 ATTN: Jeff Brown Memorial Mission Fund or Jeff Brown LCAS Worthy Student Fund. 
 
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
