TBI Arrests Sequatchie County Constable David Broome On Charges Of Child Rape

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested the Sequatchie County constable on Monday evening, after he was indicted by the Sequatchie County grand jury on child rape charges Monday.

David Eugene Broome, 61, of Signal Mountain, was indicted on one count of rape of a child. In April, the 12th judicial district attorney general requested the TBI investigate allegations that Broome had sexual contact with an eight-year-old girl at his home during December 2012 and January. 

Broome was booked into the Sequatchie County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday..
