Andrew Broomfield, 86, died on September 26, 2013 at JMS Burned Center in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on March 23, 1927.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Arma Jean Broomfield; children, Andrea Barnes, Gwen Warren and Andrew (Murriell) Broomfield, Atlanta; Angela Clark, Orlando, Fl.; Allison Childress, Janet (James) Sturkey, Denise Childress, Tabatha (Maurice) Edwards and Jennifer Greenhill; stepchildren, Eric Reed, Audrenna (Mack) Johnson, Kelcey (Lisa) Reed; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; uncle, Dave (Alice) Jackson, Detroit, MI; aunt, Majorie Morrison, Chicago; brother-in-law, Rev. Willie (Diane) White; nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Pilgrim Rock with Pastor Timmy Sykes officiating.
The body will lie in state after noon on Tuesday, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
