County To Pay $48,000 In Connection With Suicide Of Inmate At The Jail

The County Commission has agreed to a $48,000 settlement of a lawsuit brought in connection with the suicide of an inmate at the county jail.

Jason Matthew Logan, 30, of Hixson, took his own life at the jail on May 5, 2011.

He had been arrested and made bond.

Then he was soon picked up by Soddy Daisy Police.

The lawsuit claimed jail officials were negligent.
