Fire Damages East Brainerd Road Business Saturday Night

A business on East Brainerd Road was damaged by fire late Saturday night.

The Chattanooga Fire Department was dispatched at 11:57 p.m. to a reported commercial structure fire at 7507 East Brainerd Road at the Maxi Auto Center. Six fire companies responded and upon arrival found heavy fire on the outside of the building with extension to the inside of the structure.

The fire companies made a quick attack to contain the fire to the back section of the structure. Several vehicles were inside the building and received smoke damage. There were no injuries reported with this incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chattanooga Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Division.

The estimated loss is $40,000. CFD was assisted by the HCEMS, EPB, and CPD.
