Auction Of Stein Construction Brings Over $1 Million; Hill Above St. Elmo Changes Hands

An online auction of nine properties owned by Stein Construction Company around the city brought in over $1 million.

The bidding closed Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Fifty five acres at Hawkins Ridge on a hill above St. Elmo above Sunnyside Drive yielded $332,500.There were 70 bids.

Other properties and the top bids include:

14 acres in Lookout Valley $65,000

31 acres in Lookout Valley $93,000

5 acres on Quintus Loop $180,000

52 acres on Browntown Road in the Red Bank area $163,000

38 acres on Standifer Gap Road $103,000

15 acres on Chickamauga Avenue in Rossville $26,000

5 acres on Hamilton Avenue in North Chattanooga $86,000
