Downtown Chattanooga Getting New Food Market

  • Friday, December 11, 2015

A new multi-purpose market has been selected to go into the ground floor at the historic Clemons Building. “Street Corner Market at the Clemons” will be available for residents and non-residents to enjoy a variety of services.

Located in the heart of Chattanooga’s downtown district, Street Corner provides a convenient option for supermarket shopping in an upscale setting, officials said.

The store, scheduled to open in March, is approximately 2,200 square feet and occupies a large portion of the ground level. Street Corner will feature fresh produce, Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, local coffees, and a rotating selection of craft beers and artisan snacks.

Residents at The Clemons will also be able to purchase essentials at a self-service station, which will be accessible 24 hours a day.

In addition to Street Corner Market, the new Epic Optical optometry offices and eyeglasses boutique will also occupy space on the ground floor.

Officials said 2,000 square feet of retail space is still available to be leased.

The upper floors of the Clemons Building are being transformed into 55 uniquely designed luxury lofts, which are scheduled to open in January.
