Clinical Pastoral Education Scholarship Offered

  • Tuesday, April 7, 2015

A program that provides a scholarship for one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education is being offered to area members of clergy by the Pastoral Care staff of Hospice of Chattanooga beginning June.

“This is a great way for clergy to add a Chaplain component to their experience and resume” said Pat Davis, senior chaplain for Hospice of Chattanooga. “In Georgia, for instance, to be a hospice chaplain the state requires this unit of education”.

In order to qualify for this program, applicants must be an active member of a recognized church staff.

Chaplain Davis said there is one remaining scholarship for the summer session and planning is underway for the fall.  Those seeking further information and application for this Clinical Pastoral Education scholarship and opportunity should contact Chaplain Pat Davis with Hospice of Chattanooga at 423-827-4141.
